The Dog Lovers Gift List 2024

So it’s started – the great Christmas countdown is on! With our to-do-lists growing every minute of the day, The Dog Lovers Gift List 2024 provides you with inspiration on what to gift your dog and the dog lovers in your life , giving you more time for walks and cuddles – be that with your dog, or an equally gorgeous human!

So why wait  for Christmas Day to start gifting when you can get a head start with Lily’s Advent Calendar for Dogs? The ‘Countdown to Christmas’ dog bundle, includes the advent calendar and two packets of festive treats – so it’s more like three presents in one.  Not bad for £16!

We all want to look our best for Christmas Day and I know our dogs shouldn’t be left out of the equation, so why not get them ready for the big day by booking a Spa Day at the go-to groomers ‘Love My Human Townhouse’ in Chelsea?  They offer amazing treatments including a blueberry facial, eye white barrier treatment, a teeth clean and nail clipping.  Prices are based on the your treatments.

And now a present for you - Button and Bean from Not on the High Street, have created a beautiful piece of jewellery with a Silver Dog Nose in-print Bracelet – a unique way to immortalise the essence of your furry companion for £89.

Crafted in solid silver, the bracelet showcases an exact replica of your dog’s nose print, turning a cherished moment into a stunning, one-of-a-kind charm.  You will be sent a user-friendly putty impression kit, making it easy to capture your dog’s nose print and you can even it bling it up and go for the gold plating. As well as being delicate and tasteful, it doesn’t shout ‘I am a mad dog person’, whilst knowing deep down you really are!

Too cool for school? There is no reason why you should be the only one rocking some fashionable accessories. You can now get round cut out / washer style solid brass and stainless steel deeply engraved custom pet ID tags from Amazon for just £9.99.  These are the most on-trend dog tags I have ever seen!

Hate being alone? Separation anxiety can be the worst feeling for both dogs and their owners, so I would highly recommend the WEOK Puppy heartbeat Toy for £27. It’s too cute for words, soft and cuddly and it can certainly help take some of the stress out of being alone – and now I am thinking maybe I should get one for myself!

For those that love photography books as much as I do – ‘The Dog in Photography, 1839-today’ by Taschen is a marvelous coffee table book that charts the history of dogs in photography.  With pictures from the 19th century to today, the collection includes works by Man Ray, Eric Fischl, Wolfgang Tillmans, Donna Ruskin, Fatima NeJame, Vincent Versace, and of course Elliott Erwitt and William Wegman. It’s been a real inspiration to me and the selection of images and quotes included, makes it a book I keep returning too.

Parlez-vous chien? Or should I say ‘do you speak dog?’ I imagine you do - but there’s always room for improvement and Oliver Bonas’s ‘How to speak dog’ includes 100 prompt cards to help you understand what your dog is trying to communicate to you and gives information on everything from the pitch of their bark, to the way they are standing. A great stocking filler for just £7.

As the holiday season is also about helping those that are not as lucky as we, and our pampered pooches are, why not consider making a donation to an animal welfare charity in your dogs’ name?  With so many worthwhile charities to donate to it can be difficult to choose from. From rescue dog charities including All Dogs Matter and Hungary Hearts Dog Rescue, to broader charities like the RSPCA, the need to support animal welfare charities is growing every day.

It certainly wouldn’t be a complete list without including my dog photoshoot gift vouchers as an option to elevate your gifting to a new level! They are a sure winner for Christmas morning - not only are you gifting a fun experience but the memories of the day will forever live on in the contemporary portraits I create. Starting at £185 – there is room for owners to be an integral part of the shoot, creating some stunning family portraits– leaving everyone feeling warm and lovely on the inside!

Wishing you the best of luck with your gifting!  Don’t stress – enjoy the ride and the mince pies!
